Coil Tapping means: one wire from somewhere in the middle of the coil sticks out of the pickup. This allows you to add two (not one) additional sounds to your guitar. The options are:
See below for the two wiring options. Since – in practice – the two options tapping the coil often sound fairly similar, the switch used here is the most simple with two positions. This could be a Push/Pull (see below) or ON-ON micro switch.
To make the wirigram even more simple, I am only showing the one side of the switch which is needed for this mod.
